Overview | Design ecosystem service(s) assessment
This step includes the identification and selection of appropriate methods for the quantification, mapping and accounting (biophysical as well as monetary) (if applicable) of ecosystem service(s). The methods should correspond to the specific ecosystem service(s) in question and to the biophysical, socio-economic, or cultural dimensions to be assessed. These methods can be of a quantitative or qualitative nature, depending on the type of service, data availability, and purpose of the assessment. In the step relevant valuation approaches need to be considered. The step should involve designing relevant uncertainty assessments and could (if applicable) include the development of scenario assessments.
