The Share phase synthesises results, revisits impacts and dependencies, and develops solutions or recommendations in co-creation with stakeholders. Results are then tailored to specific audiences, communicated through appropriate channels, and–where relevant–formally disclosed.
SELINA Guidance
Interpret results and develop solutions
Synthesise results
This step brings together all assessment results to reveal connections, trade-offs, and key insights across the diverse components of the assessment, supporting a holistic understanding.
Evaluate impacts and dependencies
This step builds on earlier findings to re-examine how actions depend on or impact ecosystems. It clarifies the related risks and opportunities, helping to identify which issues are most important for decision-making and transformative goals.
Develop solutions or recommendations
This step identifies pathways forward by proposing actionable, stakeholder-informed solutions that reflect the assessment’s purpose and insights.
Elaborate results stakeholder-specifically
Tailor and present the assessment results to different stakeholders, including evidence-based options for decision-making.
Disseminate and communicate results
This step ensures transparent sharing of assessment results with different audiences, using suitable formats and channels to support understanding, awareness, and engagement.
Disclose
Unlike the "Disseminate and communicate results" step, "Disclose" often follows formal, standardised reporting formats, which can be subject to public/audit scrutiny. Disclosure can both be mandatory (CSRD for some businesses) or non-mandatory (annual sustainability reports).
